How was your experience?
The tickets were incredible, fourth row, so that was a great start. However, all was not perfect. First, the playbill was printed on plain copier paper with nearly zero information so each scene was a bit of a mystery and I learned nothing about the story, dancers or musicians. The musicians played alone alot, with no dancers on stage and at times it seemed to drag on. They were very good but dominated by the Argentinian version of an accordian (three of the eight musicians played this!). On the good side, the dancers were incredible and the costumes great. But although I read that there was a story - the evolution of this dance - it was told in style of dance and costume, there was no set. Also, there was a singer who was good but sang in Spanish so as a non-spanish speaker the lyrics were a mystery. If you plan to go perhaps do some research on the show beforehand so you can enjoy it more thoroughly.
