How was your experience?
We love doing Segway tours in any new city we visit. This was great as we did several other local tours, and we had not had a tour of the Golden Gate Park (apart from all of SF's other attractions). It was great! I was hesitant because our tour guide was very young--just another teenage job? Right? Not at all!!!! Devin was very informative (even the corny jokes)! In our group of 8, we had radio ear buds where Devin could broadcast to each of us as we were moving about on the Segways--this was definitely unique to this tour. The 2-hour tour started off with some very thorough training on using the Segway. We then commenced the tour throughout Golden Gate Park. Bathroom breaks, off-roading, picture opportunities were abundant. We wrapped up and the staff had printed certificates and gave us a company logo pin. Really cool! The certificate was also a coupon for $10 off for the next Segway tour we did with them; it also afforded us to do the "advanced" tour where we could maneuver the SF area's more hilly streets, etc. I would definitely give this a shot if we had more time in the area! Props to the staff for an excellent tour and experience. Some tips: dress warm and be prepared for the wind; may need gloves; you cannot wear a backpack and use the Segway simultaneously (there are mini-backpacks on the front of the Segway to store hats, gloves, cameras, etc.); you'll be wearing a reflective vest and gnarly bike helmet; the standard "if you die while doing this" waiver was required; bring water; bathrooms are nearby where we started the tour. Thanks again!!!
