How was your experience?
I was the one to choose this event and I think my husband was just going along to keep me happy. We live in LA and see the tourist busses all the time, they do not look like our idea of fun. After a half hour, my husband looked at me and said "This is just so great. I don't believe how good this is." And after, it just still got better. The locations seen and the personal narrative contained a nice mix of American and NY history, tv/music significance, and architecture info, laced with some personal stories. There was something for everyone. The guide's personal stories were not too much and the tour remained about us and not our guide. It was great because the max capacity for the van was 24, that gives you the opportunity to ask questions (which he somehow knew the answers to most). I thought 5 hours would be too long . . it was so enjoyable, we could have stayed on or had a day two. This trip is not for someone that is not fit enough to do some walking. The van covers a lot of area, but it's not all sitting for you, this kept it fun. Make sure you eat breakfast. There will be a stop to grab some lunch. It would have taken us more than a day to (maybe) visit/see all the locations. As an out-of-towner it would have been difficult to know where to go, how to get there, and best vantage point when the destination is reached. Also, we would have needed to spend even more time to find exactly what the story is behind what we are seeing.By going on "Get Acquainted" this was all taking care of for us. Two thumbs up!
