How was your experience?
This Tradional Event has something for all ages to enjoy, from children to elders. The Pacific Symphony is always an enjoyable event, but never more than on America's birthday. The colors were brought forth by several different Armed Forces' color guards while the Star Spangled Banner was played. The Kingston Trio was an trip back in time for many attendees. But the song, "Where Have All The Flowers Gone?" was sung by all ages. The Karousel Kids performed professionally, surprising for a group with members so young. There are rousing Sousa marches to lift your spirit and engage all in a Patriotic salute to America. But the highlight of the event, which is repeated each year, is the playing of each branch of the US Armed Forces' Marching Theme song; members of each branch were asked to stand up when their song was played. It was a very moving Tribute to all of them. There was also a tribute to those who are currently serving in the military. The fireworks were accompanied by the Orchestra playing several Sousa marches; "Washington Post," "Semper Fidelis" and finishing with "The Stars and Stripes Forever."
