How was your experience?
I went last night and still cannot get over how FANTASTIC it was. The performers and the band were really top notch. My husband and I are huge Coen Bros. fans and to be with this troupe who clearly love these films as much as we do was just great. During the parts where the performers would act out scenes from the movie, I had to stop myself from joining them! My hands hurt from clapping and my cheeks hurt from smiling so much. This place is teeny tiny and normally I hate to be crowded but it really just added to the experience. I would recommend this show to anyone that is a fan of these movies, you will not be disappointed. Service was good, wait staff had to shimmy through a very tight area but managed to get our drink orders out in good time. They had a special drink menu for the show, I had a “Burn after Drinking”, tequila, lime juice and jalapenos. Yummy but strong! We did not eat at the venue (ate at a great Thai place in Thai Town instead ~ Red Corner Asia). I am glad we did because the tables at Barre were postage stamp sized and you had to share with another couple. I don’t think there was enough room for 4 people to eat comfortably. That however was the the only drawback. Only sorry I missed the Baz Lurhman and John Hughes shows, I am sure they were excellent too.
