How was your experience?
The museum is very engaging and well-constructed. While there is a fair amount of reading involved, they do a good job of presenting material in a way that is accessible to a broad demographic (our group included kids in primary school all the way up to a tenured professor who teaches on espionage). The permanent collection has many interactive elements and the periodic film/video stops were well chosen and informative. A lot of thought and cost has obviously gone into the presentation, creating many appealing and visually detailed environments (a 1940s movie theatre, East Berlin, underground tunnels, colonial-era rooms). It's worth going early, as it can get very crowded in the afternoon during tourist season(s).
