How was your experience?
The Guys and Dolls production at Wolf Trap was truly excellent! I had seen a production of this show done at the Kennedy Center several years ago, and quite frankly this was a lot better. The singers were superb, the dancing was excellent, and the set design worked well. The only minor flaw was the singing of "More I Can Not Wish You" by Sara Brown's grandfather, which was a bit off key. The singer/actors in the key roles of Sky Masterson, Sara Brown, Nicely Nicely and Adelaide were really, really good, with "Sky" perhaps being the best. The song "Sit Down, You're Rocking the Boat" by Nicely Nicely had people cheering in the aisles. Nathan Detroit was also very good, with the role being played in a "Phil Silvers" kind of way.
