How was your experience?
A fun first half that floundered a bit later on. Probably could have dropped a few of the songs (there were 20-something) and explored a couple more ideas. It was pretty thin in this regard. And not in a meta sense, either, like a play about pop art mimicking the repetition and superficiality of Warhol's work. One other nit is that many of the songs had climaxes that lasted for far too long, with six powerful voices fully singing out for what seemed like an awkward amount of time. This was not helped by sound issues that had the live band drowning out some lyrics. The staging was interesting and enjoyable. The Andy Warhol performance was especially fun. Essentially, if you have an interest in seeing this I would recommend going; if you don't, then you should probably stay away because it's not going to win you over.
