Tuesday October 4, 2011 / 7:00pmThe Australian Bee Gees Show
How was your experience?
Excellent vocal harmonies and excellent instrumentation. Very close to the sound of the original group. Good stage personalities kept it interesting. The crowd loved it and was dancing and cheering. They look like the Bee Gees, more or less. The one who does Maurice looks the most like the original. The show has minimal production values - mostly videos on screens that were to the side of, and also behind the group.(The videos were of this group at various performances around the world, not video of the original Bee Gees). The seating in the venue is not very comfortable. There are tables about 20" wide that are perpendicular to the stage and they cram the chairs close together, one behind the other. Everyone ends up with their chairs facing the stage with the table to their side. So you are basically looking at the head of the person in front of you and have to position your head to the side to get a good view of the performers. The uncomfortable seating is not the fault of the musicians so I didn't reduce my rating because of it.
