How was your experience?
Despite this being advertised as Boston's most luxurious cruise, I did not have particularly high expectations of elegance, refinement, or culinary excellence. Nonetheless, I was not prepared for the overwhelming tackiness of this event. The ship is decorated to resemble what I'd imagine a 1980's second rate Miami strip club looked like. The food is fantastically uninspired and flavorless, despite being drenched in cream and butter. And the wine list tops out at a Blackstone pinot noir at 5x the retail price. After dinner the true pain hits you, as the wait staff (who in fairness were all very nice and attentive) are forced to "get the party started" by screaming their way through old evergreens. Which is followed by a dj making his way through a schizophrenic mix of 60's cheesy soul and tribal nightclub muzak. It's not a cruise, it's a floating Revere high school reunion. But if that type of thing floats your boat, go for it. Just be aware of what you are getting yourself into.
