How was your experience?
Paul Revere and the Raiders put on a very enjoyable show. Besides the good music, Paul is quite a character, and is very entertaining. Although the lead singer is not Mark Lindsay, he is nevertheless an excellent singer who can do other styles too, as he demonstrated in the show (Tom Jones, Elvis). My wife and I are of an age where we remember Paul Revere from the late 60's, when they had about a dozen top 40 hits. In this show, they only played 5 of those hits(Kicks, Hungry, Just Like Me, Good Thing, and Indian reservation). They spent some time playing some Christmas season songs. I realize this was billed as "Rockin' Christmas", but I would have preferred to hear a few more of the old hits that I remember instead of Jingle Bell Rock, etc. All in all, though, a very enjoyable show. As for the opening act, Gary Puckett, to be honest I didn't really care for it too much, and would have been happy to skip him and hear more Paul Revere hits. The Paul Revere band played barely an hour, after Puckett's 45-min opening set.
