How was your experience?
The theater is in a really nice location, off to the side of Santa Monica Blvd, in this metal theater, right next to Hugos. We go to the front, and our name is on the list. There are not many people there, even though it said to get there thirty minutes early, and we were ten minutes late. There is a bar, and the walls are decorated with past achievements. I didn't really do a lot of research on the play, or the theater, and was really surprised when the theater was a lesbian theater, and I was with my mom...That was a laugh:) The play was really good. It was a very tangled and interesting story about a woman and her high society highs and lows. I found it to be very emotional and raw in a beautiful way. It is the reflection of a person, Amanda, looking back on her life, and trying to justify all the things she did, and to understand why she did them, and why she is the way she is. The writer, who the play is based on, was in the audience, and she came onto the stage at the end looking fabulous. I definitely felt like I walked away knowing something more about life, and was astounded by the length of our lives, and how things are momentary. I would definitely recommend this. ***Also, hit up Barney's Beanery after, for the full experience:)
