How was your experience?
Kirk provided an informative and enjoyable introduction to exploring the intertidal environment. He showed us how to identify ghost shrimp and horse neck clams holes in the sand. We were able to touch the horseneck clams ""neck" in the hole if we were quick. Later he demonstrated pole poking for monkey face eels. It was fun and I plan to build a pole for pole poking and to try it in the near future. Kirk is very knowledgeable and passionate about educating the public in clamping AND filling in the holes after clamming. Boots are a must because you will be walking in the intertidal muck and a little water.
