How was your experience?
I found the idea and intention of this to be a fantastic opportunity that, for the most part, missed the mark. I came full of anticipation of the intellectual challenge and sharing of ideas that would start us down a path of thinking differently about the Broadway business. Instead, it was rather general with a lack of ideas about the future other than, 'Broadway will be here and it will be great.' It may exist, but it's greatness is not guaranteed. I found Patricia Miller to be outstanding. I addition, Ken Davenport's introduction of the day was exceptional in posing the "What If?" idea for a Broadway for the 21st century. Most, not all, of the other presenters could have benefit from a bit more prep on the top at hand. I would suggest if there is another TEDx Broadway that the artists themselves be included in the conversation. It is critical they are encouraged to be engaged and cultivate thoughts around the business of their art.
