How was your experience?

Clear I hated it I didn't like it It was OK I liked it I loved it!
ELVIS LIVES is a live concert event that spans Elvis's public life from the 1950's through the 1968 comeback years. The show is divided into four sections with four different actors portraying Elvis in different stages of his career. Apparently, these actors were selected from a nationwide "Elvis" talent search, with the winners getting a part in the show. All of Elvis's famous songs and hits were included in the show from his early years, to the movie and television years, through the 68 comeback and the Vegas concerts. I have to say that all the actors were wonderful in their assigned roles, taking on the singer's sound and movements. The voices were spot on and with the costumes and "gyrations" intrinsic to the Elvis experience, it was like seeing him live. However, I do admit that the actor (and I didn't save his name) that portrayed Elvis during the concert years in Vegas was probably was my wife's and my favorite as he personified the older Elvis in look (the more beefy Elvis), clothing and sound. The show was about 2 hours (there was a 20 min intermission between Acts) and the time went by too soon. The audience seemed to throughly enjoy the show as you could see people rocking and dancing in their chairs to the tunes. There were even lines of "Elvis groupies" at the stage waiting to get a kiss from "Elvis". The actors even kept in character as they adlibbed comments to the audience and one even sang Happy Birthday to a 70 year old fan in the audience. All in all, this was a fun and upbeat event for anyone wanting to remember those years.

Help others enjoy a great night out
