How was your experience?
This was a really FUN event! There were more men than women in attendance, which as a female I LOVED! The attendees were culturally and age mixed and it appeared everyone was having a good time. Tastings and possibly some "mingling games" were occurring on the patio but I stayed inside and chatted with my friends. The dance instructors were two of the very best in my experience--even those that consider they have "2 left feet" were able to learn the steps in a relaxed, broken down and simplified manner with humor and a "togetherness-learning" feel. Leaders created an outside circle and followers created an inside circle and after each breakdown of a step we practiced with several different leaders/followers due to one of the circle groups moving clockwise. This was a great way to meet people and then dance with them later. I've been dancing salsa for many, many years but I wanted to be in the class to meet the fellow attendees. Something that I especially liked was being asked to dance by both young and older men and I'm an "older woman" so this was great fun for me. Parking is abundant as it's a "warehouse-type" district. I arrived early and parked directly in front of the Cafe Cocomo. I'll definitely be back for more fun times DANCING!!!
