How was your experience?
This was my first and last Shecky's event. It was definitely not as advertised. The only good part was that I didn't pay full price for the tickets. I don't even feel it was worth the 1/3 price ticket I bought ($10). The venue was very small - there were less than 20 vendors. I walked around 3 times in 45 min. The lines for drinks were ridiculous (even if you wanted something non-alcoholic ie water etc). Let's not even mention the "Goodie Bags". I could have bought everything I got in that bag for less than $5 at the drugstore. A lipbalm (like chapstick), press on nails (which I haven't used since I was 9), a soda, a plastic cup, a sample of laundry detergent, and a sample of several flavors of artificial sweetener (sugar packets). I saw nothing at this event that was "new" or "the latest". Most of the vendors were the same types of things you would see in mall kiosks (jewelry cleaner spray, plastic rhinestone jewelry and slip on dresses like you get at the beach on vacation). Not to mention - the only "pampering" I saw was "free" chair massage which they tell you that you "must" tip when you sit in the chair (so it wasn't "free"). Red carpet was advertised - this was not a red carpet event. Next time I will save my money and go to the mall where I can get a chair massage that lasts longer, a makeover at the makeup counter (and actually learn about their new products), and clothes I would actually wear in public.
