How was your experience?
We had a great time on this tour. We got the beginning time wrong, so we were early enough to take a walk around the grounds. A cold drink and cookies was served before the tour began. The two guides were wonderful, and it apparently isn't a scripted tour, as we overheard the other guide talking about different things. This makes it very probable that we will take the tour again, to experience it from a different perspective. We already plan to take another tour with one of the other topics. It's over an hour of standing and walking up and down a couple of narrow staircases, so people with mobility problems may have some difficulty. I have gone to the sheep-shearing there several times and enjoyed that also. I only wish I had known about the house when I was teaching 5th grade early American history. They would have been in awe of the house! The farmstand sells plants, vegetables grown on the grounds and eggs from the chickens there.
