How was your experience?
This was the perfect way to spend an afternoon/evening! My friend and I decided to make a girls night out of it, so we got there when the doors opened to ensure a good spot - it couldn't have been easier! Parking was only $10 (but there were open meters on the street right across from the park if you don't want to pay for parking) and we got right in with no problems, got a great seat up close and happily waited in the sunshine for the event to begin - we got some lobster tails and soup from the food truck which we ate in addition to the picnic food we'd brought, laid all our stuff out and had a great time! The band was good and it was really fun watching the movie outdoors! My few recommendations are to bring WARM clothes or lots of blankets/sleeping bags and pillows or something to lean against. I had brought a couple towels/picnic blanket and some sleeping bags, but realized when I got there that we didn't really have any pillows or anywhere to rest our heads, so we ended up using the sleeping bags as pillows and one of the towels as a blanket which really wasn't warm enough. Other people brought those floor chair backs or the big arm/back rest thing that people put on beds or to lean against to read with, etc - not sure what it's called, but basically, bring something to lean against, something to sit on (preferably something cushy since the ground gets super hard after a while) and a heavy blanket or two! Other than that, we had a fabulous time and didn't even realize that we'd been there for about 6 hours by the time the movie was over! We'll definitely be back!
