How was your experience?
The venue is cold, drab and run down. The show started 25 minutes late & the headliner never appeared. That was as good as it got. There was a 2 drink min which was not a problem but it took over 50 mins. to finally give our order (which was taken at same time as about a dozen other tables at a time) After another good 15 mins. our order arrived about the same time as the 3rd comedian. After literally a few sips, they came by demanding our 2nd round order (since they only had about another 30 mins of the show left). That's when the server was upset that I said we weren't going to order again until we were ready. She threatened to add $5 pp to our bill if we didn't order. Another 5 mins of arguing (while missing most of 1 of the sets) she had a manager come over to explain their ridiculous delays but would still enforce the 2 drink policy with literally 5 mins left in the show. All told, we waited nearly an hour from arrival for 1st drink and had less than 10 mins. to finish our 2nd before the end of the show (again, without the headliner showing up or even an explanation). ALL THIS & THEY ADD AN 18% AUTO GRATUITY... 4 of us spent $67 for 5 soda's, 1 hot chocolate 1 glass of wine & 1 mixed drink!!!... no wonder they didn't care about the service level. Been there number of times (b/c of goldstar price) but even at $24pp, going to Comedy Cellar is a much better deal/venue) Not sure I'll be back, just too many times you walk away saying, ughhhhh.
