How was your experience?
I was really disappointed!! The jokes really weren't funny and the whole production sounds like it was a funny 20 minute story he used to tell people and then he stretched it out into a 90 minute snooze-fest. It's not that the material was shocking or offensive - we knew what we were expecting. It was just a blah story told in a blah manner. I think his side jokes about people getting real interaction as opposed to a movie and throwing tissues at the people sleeping was funny, but I've never been to such a quiet comedy show where the comedian swears it's never been this quiet (no one was laughing. NO ONE.) and pretty much begged us for applause. He seems like a funny guy if you were to have a random conversation with him, but the show was really boring and not edgy like I expected. I also thought that the neat wrap-up at the end was supposed to be heartwarming but fell short. I was expecting a Mike Birbiglia type of journey, and this was not it. Am just glad the tickets were cheap so it wasn't a huge loss.
