How was your experience?
This is definitely ideal for families. The jokes are clean, there's lots of music and absolutely no brainpower required. The music isn't too loud (for those kids who have trouble with noise) and the gags are easy to follow. There is a big advantage for kids sitting courtside, so if you have the means, sit close. The other reason is that the microphones tend to garble the sound. Plus, these guys are basketball players, not orators. So they don't speak very clearly. I kept wishing that we had seats that were closer (and we were in row 14 - pretty close!). As expected, the souvenirs were really pricey: $25 basketball, $25 t-shirt, $60 jersey. But you had real access to the players after the game so getting an autograph on that new souvenir was a real possibility. I saw the HGs when I was a kid (at least 30 years ago). The shtick is largely the same as it was then. And kids still love it. I guess that's a good reason to bring the family. Parking was $25 per car. That's $12/hour, which is more than I pay at the airport, or in San Francisco. Totally crazy.
