How was your experience?
Cambridge Square Theater has a small but well-constructed venue, with stadium seating so there's not a bad seat in the place - even mine, in the far corner, was not only sufficient but actually had advantages. The production of Arabian Nights itself was delightful, with a small cast of nine taking on role after role as the young princess Shahrzad bewitches the king into sparing her life by telling tale after tale. Each story is brought to life by the cast with an assortment of quick-change costumes, pillows that can become anything from store counters to mountains, and puppets that range from small hand ones to a giant one that half-fills the stage and takes half the cast to operate. This was the second year they've put on "Arabian Nights". Here's hoping there's many more.
