National Symphony Orchestra: Christoph Eschenbach, Conductor / Music of Mahler, Schubert & Mozart

How was your experience?

Clear I hated it I didn't like it It was OK I liked it I loved it!
1. The program had nothing to do with Nordic Kool except for a fine Nordic singer. The Mahler could have easily been replaced by a short Nordic piece, e.g. by Grieg, Sibelius. 2. The orchestra drowned out the fine singing of the Schubert lieder. A smaller ensemble would have been adequate for these pieces, which were written for piano accompaniment.
