Orchestra or Rows A-B of Mezzanine
How was your experience?
The main criticism is that the actors were totally playing to each other and did not make the audience feel as though we were part of it. The actors never once looked toward the audience or even changed position when talking to each other. Sitting in the orchestra on the side, I only saw the back of an actor's head for an entire scene. This is a directing problem since the actors are all very good and accomplished. The first act was slow and I had the desire to close my eyes. The second act picked up and was much better. My friend and I both agreed on this problem. The show needs some tightening up. The soliloquies were too long. However, all in all, it was better than a lot of other shows I've seen.
