How was your experience?
This is my second visit to the Chopin Theater, a very quirky place. It appears to be something in between community theater and the pros. The play was well performed and the special effects were quite impressive. However, I do think this is one of those plays for which you really need to know a certain amount of background before you watch it, otherwise much of what you see won't make sense. There are points in the play requiring audience participation. If you don't want to participate, don't sit in the front row. It's good fun, but not a brilliant production. One quibble with the 'boxoffice'. I would have appreciated a sign telling me that the show was being performed in the basement and that one needed to go down the stairs to get checked in (no printed tickets). There was a sign saying the bar was open, but since I didn't want anything from the bar, I didn't occur to me to go downstairs for any other reason.
