How was your experience?
For a small community theater, Attic managed to pull off a pretty credible production of Thoroughly Modern Millie. It's not Broadway though, so don't come to a community theater expecting a Broadway experience. Most of the performers did pretty well, a few no so well, and a few did quite well. Brittany Gerardi did a fantastic job as Millie, with a strong theatrical singing voice and stage presence. The actors playing Jimmy and Trevor also did pretty well. Not sure how I felt about the Chinese caricatures in the play. I know they were part of the story, but I found them a bit offensive as well. The music was all recorded. The set was a bit sparse, as would be expected, but the costumes, especially for the women, were great. All in all, a very enjoyable show.
