Saturday May 25, 2013 / 2:00pmSesame Street Live Can't Stop Singing
How was your experience?
Took a couple of 3 year-olds and I think the length AND the intermission was more appropriate for older kids, although the content was more appropriate for a 3 year old. Coming back after intermission was a disaster, all you could hear was bored kids wailing as parents rocked them near the door. It really moved to slowly for the kids and the singing was not nearly entertaining enough to hold their interest- long, older songs you couldn't discern the words because the music was so loud everything just kind of warbled. I think I enjoyed it more than the kiddos (even as they kept saying, 'can we go home now?' halfway through). My suggestion to the producers- make it 30-45 minutes, no intermission lower the sounds so the kids can sing along and choose songs either the kids already know or can easily pick up or else they will not feel very engaged. Then again if they eliminate the intermission how will they get you to spend $20 on a normally $5 Elmo trinket to entertain the kids?
