How was your experience?
There were parts of Pal Joey that were definitely 5 star, such as the song "Zip" performed by Callie somebody. That was outstanding. Either this room did not have good acoustics, the voices weren't particularly strong, or the body mikes were off, but nobody sounded as though they had a strong voice for some reason. Joey himself was a bit TOO boyish, and not even remotely sexy as Joey is supposed to be. Vera was played very well as were the other actors. This is almost a depressing play, with no true protagonist, but the review should be of the production, not the play. The production was a solid 4 star, maybe even 4.5. Adrian Aguilar can't help it if he's not very sexy, perhaps it was the casting directors fault.
