How was your experience?
I took my 10 year old son to see this play. It definitely had a unique twist on an old storyline. The music was good, and we both enjoyed it very much. As far as the venue went, my biggest complaint is the parking situation downtown. I drove around for at least half an hour looking for a place to park. It was horrible. I knew that parking would be difficult and I gave ourselves plenty of time but I still worried we were going to be late. (We did get there on time). Directions to the nearest paylot from the website would have been nice since I'm not used to driving around in that area. The Childrens theater is an interesting building. It looks like it was an old church at one time. The seats are like wooden pews and there were some seat pads available but if you want one, grab it on your way in! They ran out before I realized my son needed one. Or, bring your own cushion. They did have a very limited concession stand and sold bottles of water. I got the feeling that it would have been ok to bring our own. Of course you can only drink water in the theater. Eating is restricted to the lobby. Overall, I would do this again. It was a nice experience.
