How was your experience?
I dunno. It wasn't a horrible way to spend an hour with my BFF and our two little ones, but I've seen lots of children's theatre that was better than this. I am glad the tickets were cheap. The story was a weird adaptation of the classic fairytale incorporating allergies, racism, 2 mute children who never aged, and a Sleeping Beauty who was smart enough to know about her curse but dumb enough to actually prick her finger on the spinning wheel on purpose as if on a dare. The acting and singing were on par with a middling high school production (although I'll call out the red fairy as clearly more talented than this production or her castmates deserved). Two parts were good: the dragon, and the prince flying along the back of the stage on a razor scooter.
