How was your experience?
This savagely funny, often sad, slightly terrifying drama takes place during one broadcast of "Night Talk," a call-in show hosted by manic host Barry Champlain, superbly played by Christian Phillips. We hear the voices of callers who are fueled by hatred, scared stiff of everyday life, mired in personal problems or utterly directionless. Champlain gives vent to their frustrations and, eventually, in a crescendo of outrage, his own. Various people involved with the show interrupt its action with Individual monologues, like a kind of chorus, in which they voice their own views of the show and its host. A first-rate script and production, along with top-notch performances by the entire cast, make this a play not to miss.
