How was your experience?
We were incredibly disappointed with our seats on the second tier of the Kennedy Center Opera House bought through Goldstar. The acoustics are pitiful waaaay up there. So bad, in fact, that the lyrics to the songs sung in Showboat are digitally displayed on a board hung for the poor folks seated in the second tier. I have been to many musicals, usually paying full price for closer seats. I had no idea that the second tier was going to be so far up when I purchased the tickets. Our last musical there was Wicked. We paid full price and were not disappointed. So much for Goldstar when the event is at The Kennedy Center . Arena Stage would be fine as there is not a bad seat in the house, but we will never buy second tier seats again, even at half price or less. Besides the acoustics, the actors were the size of ants and we really felt disconnected from what was happening onstage and underwhelmed by the whole experience. We left at intermission, having spent over $100 for a lousy experience.
