How was your experience?
The evening does not bode well when the understudy is going on for the lead actress.....When looking at source material, creators need to ask themselves: does it sing? Does it need to sing? SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE does not need to sing. The score creates songs that all sound alike and end in loud prolonged notes. Although the acting was nice, the set design was confusing. The stand out performance, for me, was given by Lowe Taylor. The wigs and costumes were bargain basement. Like Pasadena's previous musicalization of VANITIES, which went to New York and fizzled, this is an unnecessary production.
