How was your experience?
The play started 15 minutes late (after a long shpiel about their capital campaign which seems wasteful in a lot of ways) and had a 30+ minute intermission so when the show ended around 11:20, our 11 PM dinner reservations had long passed. The website said 2.5 hours, so it's just not ok to keep people 45 minutes longer than expected. I echo a few others who said that it just went on and on and so much of it felt unnecessary (the entire funeral scene for instance) and there were way too many songs, none of which were particularly memorable. The voices were largely mediocre with the notable exception of Georgie and a few others. The piano player (Jeanette), Horse, and Georgie all had excellent performances (especially Jeanette, the show stealer for sure). In all, there were some funny and good moments and the premise was good - it just needed to be about 30 minutes shorter and start on time and have a true 15 minute intermission.
