How was your experience?
The guests were hilarious and it was definitely a show to remember, but the quality of the lighting and sound was horrendous. Dan Savage had a dark stripe of a shadow on his face, and his microphone didn't work right at first. They got the mic working, but the sound quality was still terrible; it was very hard to hear Handler's witty asides. Also, they set up cameras in the aisles, obstructing some people's views. One of the volunteers helping to seat people was getting stressed by the time the show started, too, and was very crabby. You'd think the Commonwealth Club would have it together by now for these big events. Extra stars simply for the content of the program, which was outstanding.
