Actors did a good job, except for the part of Zelda--way over the top. Couldn't empathized with her. She was shrill and screamed a lot--don't know if it was the direction, but I don't think she "got it" about Zelda's illness. Characterization was better in Act II, but even her hair didn't go with the character--bad wigs. Act II better written than first act and got to see a little more of all the characters. Needed more stage time for Wharton and the dog. A bit long and some scenes could have been trimmed. Fairly wordy and there was only one scene with "tea." Title didn't match what the play was about. As always, Schneider doesn't a great job with the feel of the era, but needs to focus on the play itself and its contents.
