How was your experience?
This is Cabaret at its purest, and a solid production. The space is intimate and quite appropriate for the style of the show. As a four person show, the expert cast solos, acts as back up, and act as well as they sing. This is definitely a European take on life, post World War II. The difficulties of relationships, the passion/hate of love, unrequited love and growing old. Brel's music explores all of these. Woman #1 Lilah Kujala is most intense and carries the heavy ballads of the show - ones that deal with losing sons and lovers in the war. "Marieke" is a show stopper. There were some mike issues, but other than that, I highly recommend a nite out with this one.
