How was your experience?
The acoustics were less than desirable ( I am NOT hard of hearing), a consistent experience at Davies Symphony Hall events. The venue planners seem to think that performers don't need a microphone--well, they do, including the magnificent Ms. Norman whose operatic voice seemed to have been swallowed by the horrible walls/ceiling/whatever of the symphony hall. Someone finally figured out that Ms. Norman did need a microphone to be heard during the second portion of her performance. Once we finally heard Ms. Norman's full singing voice and her glorious nuances, the magic finally began. I wish I could demand a refund for the first half of her show that, through no fault of Ms. Norman, was simply forgettable as we could barely hear her.
