How was your experience?
We almost walked out. The writer had an obsession with the words fuck and fucking. Most of the play consisted of angry men yelling at one another, barking orders and being crude. There were young children in the audience who were subjected to obscene gestures and language that were unnecessary. There was hardly any character development and the characters were one dimensional. There were many members of the audience who enjoyed the play. We didn't. It certainly wasn't a tribute to men in the military or the Black Watch. If it was intended to be, it fell way short. My recommendation to others would be stay home and certainly do not bring your children to see the play.
