How was your experience?
Not a good performance. The acoustics of the theater are strained, but other directors have not obliged their actors to face the audience and shout. Casting is very uneven, with a strong Nightingale (Parsons), but a Lady Croom who disastrously comingles lady Bracknell and a flirt, two more weakly cast females, and a Hodges who lacks any hint of the suavité Stoppard invites. And tutors and dons who mispronounce 'oeuvre,' 'Fermat' & 'monograph' .. come now! see this intriguing play elsewhere, & much better direction, in SF, and across the bay.
