How was your experience?
It is noteworthy that this is a show about a Jewish experience being presented in an explicitly Jewish venue (a Jewish Community Center) in a town that is self-consciously Jewish that is the subject of the play. That crucial context notwithstanding, this is a most interesting play that is very well acted about family and its meaning/purpose for those involved that would have value/interest even outside of this special context. There was a "talkback" afterwards with great potential that was unfortunately not realized then because the "presenters" did too much talking about too little. It would have been much more interesting to hear more from the people of Skokie who were present at the events portrayed and who have each experienced the whole subject of the play in their own ways.
