How was your experience?
The musical itself is a powerful piece of theatre definitely worthy of the Pultizer, Tony and other accolades it received. In this production, the power house role of Diane, was sorely miscast. While she had a beautiful voice, her emotional range was limited and she allowed the stellar performances of her co-stars to outshine her. This is a difficult thing to do considering the role of Diane is at the center of everything that happens on stage. Kudos to "Natalie" and the Father for truly amazing performances. I really wanted this to be a 5 star production, but it just came up short because of a forgettable performance by the leading lady.
