How was your experience?
The show itself was a GREAT experience for the Video Gamer. They had wonderful performances that included audience participation during parts of the show. There was also a meet and greet for those that were interested. And apparently, prior to the show, they had video game related activities just outside the theater. Between the parking lot to the Box Office, then from the Box Office to the actual Amphitheater, is quite a distance AND has incline. So, be sure to wear comfortable clothing AND comfortable shoes. I made the mistake of wearing heels, and I ended up with blisters the next day. The screens they had towards the back of the stage were obstructed if you sat on the Left side of the audience facing the stage. Our seats were way in the middle, but other people were already sitting in them, so instead of making a scene while the show was already in progress, because it took us FOREVER to HIKE up to the amphitheater, we reluctantly sat in seats that were vacant, which I mentioned earlier, had an obstructed view of the screens. To our dismay, the teenagers that sat behind us were quite disruptive and rude which made our experience not so pleasant. They kept using our seats as foot rests and their personal kicking instrument. They were being negative to some of the performances, which included booing, heckling, mocking and use of profanity. During the intermission, we asked if we could move our seats. The only attendant that was helpful was an older African-American lady that was VERY pleasant, and accommodating. When we sat at our new seats, our mood and experience improved dramatically. We still sat on the left side that still had that obstructed view of the screens, but we were surrounded by friendlier folks that were there to have a positively great time, just like us. The second half of the show was WONDERFUL.
