How was your experience?
Really: Zero stars. My guest and I arrived around 10pm to the event and went straight to the (roped) front of the line to ask a staff member where to get our tickets at will-call. He said that we had to go to the back of the line. The line spanned from the door, across the bridge, all the way back to Upper Wacker. There were probably 500 people in line ahead of us. The line moved about 10 feet in a matter of an hour. At 11pm, I went to the front of the line and asked again about will-call, and I found out that only those patrons with Ticketmaster printed tickets were being let it immediately. Again, to the back of the line. I was then informed that the show was at capacity. Rather than try to work things out with the clearly overwhelmed staff, my guest and I left. I informed Goldstar the following day of the matter, and they credited the cost of my tickets to my account. Apparently, the House of Blues held all will-call tickets through midnight. Waiting two hours in line for tickets that I had already purchased? I don't think so. The staff should have done a better job of managing the Ticketmaster, will-call, and door ticket lines. What if we had arrived at 8:30? We would have waited in line potentially for 3.5 hours? I was really looking forward to this event. I've lost count of how many times I've been to the HoB, and I've always had a great experience. I'm glad that Goldstar was understanding of the situation and was gracious enough to credit my account.
