How was your experience?
This is the third of a series of solo shows by Don Reed about his life in East Oakland and his career as as a performer. It comes in two parts, concerning Reed's childhood in the first part and a summing up that involves the deaths of both parents in the second. In my opinion, the parts don't entirely jell and may deserve fuller treatment and separate shows. This show, including an intermission, lasts almost two hours and, despite Reed's many talents, lacks the impact of some of his previous work.
