How was your experience?
My friend & I were SUPPOSE to go on this event on Friday July 19th. I called 5 STAR TOURS (the company providing the tour) prior to my purchasing the tickets. This was the first time I purchased from Goldstar so I wanted to make sure everything was good to go. The person Chris who worked for the 5 Star Tour company never actually made the reservation. Evidently this happened often according to Alfonzo, the manager on shift the day my friend visiting from New Orleans & I THOUGHT we were going on the tour. Alfonzo asked if we could go the next day but Friday was the ONLY day we had available to go. Alfonzo did TRY to work out a plan for me & my friend to still go on the trip, however his solution was unacceptable. He was going to have a female office worker named Liz drive me & my friend in her PERSONAL car, a honda civic. She had never done a brewery tour before, nor did she know where to take us. I have lived here for 12 years & am VERY familiar with the area & places to go, but had never done a brewery tour. But having someone who didn't even know where to go drive me & my friend in a honda civic was unacceptable no matter what the discount was. When we walked out to see the office worker Liz in her personal car, I said this was unacceptable. When I came back into the office to discuss a refund with Alfonzo, he was in a meeting. I had already given him all of my information to call me back because I wanted a refund. It has been several weeks now & I still hadn't seen a refund for this unused & now completely UNWANTED trip. I contacted customer service @ GOLDSTAR. I got a PERSONAL response back in 10 mins. Within one hour I was told I will have my money refunded to me. Bottom Line: Both tours I purchased that were to be fulfilled by 5 STAR TOURS were either not completed or subpar. The good points all completely disorganized & unable to provide services, they were nice & polite staff @ 5 STAR TOURS. The GOLDSTAR team I was in correspondence with that resolved the refund issue in less than an hour, YOU ROCK. Now I just have to wait for my refund to post...so we will see.
