How was your experience?
This was an almost unbearably boring experience. While the singing was good (thin but good, except for one tenor who was great) the staging was nonexistent, one static set and nothing happening on it. In fact, that is the problem with the writing also-- nothing happens. Oh, I hear that in the second act He dies. Didn't stay to find out. Too bad, cause i was very interested in the subject of the story, until I got there and found there was none-- only argument. Though I suppose if you can stand a Wagner opera where two people just talk at each other for 3 hours, this might work too. Except that the music is not nearly as good as Wagner's.
