How was your experience?
This evening was one of the most enjoyable I have spent at the Hollywood Bowl in a long time. Everything from the music to the ambiance, food and even travel was a delight!. The evening itself was lovely; a clear, cool summer night under the stars! The music was divine conducted by the skillful Canadian conductor, Bernard Labadie. All of the pieces were both beautifully conducted and played. The Labeque sisters' playing of Mendelssohn's concerto for "two pianos" and their encore were the highlights of the evening, with the orchestra's melodic Schubert Symphony No. 5 coming in a close second. Sitting under the stars, surrounded by such beautiful sounds, I found myself feeling so fortunate to be part of the evening's experience!
