How was your experience?
"Hotel Paradiso" was a nice experience. The exaggerations (hyperbole) as well as the overall plot was easy to follow for both the audience member who may simply wish to be entertained via an easy-to-comprehend plot ... as well as the audience member who may a bit more of a challenge (ergo WHAT will be the climax?). Nice to see the actors eye contact with the audience. Good casting. I was part of an older audience (I'm guessing that the average age was about 58 years old). No problem. The reason why I mention age is because I thought that, even given the time period of the play, I thought that there would be a couple of scenes that might make the audience members blush ... all in good taste, mind you :-). Switching subjects, the play DID bring back pleasant memories of a world, in fact, that was a bit more naive (something I, as a 40-something year old, would and do, personally miss). Suggestion? Not to contradict myself, but ...Be just a bit provocative (if the script allows for just one scene - of course, in good taste. Looking at this cast - there would be absolutely NO PROBLEM in pulling off the latter)! Fine acting, to be sure! Nice theatre. - I definitely RECOMMEND this play. "What a Night!"
